2015 Maui O-bon Festival

O-bon is a Buddhist tradition that's been held for centuries. It's both a time to pay respects to the deceased and celebrate the return of ancestors to our world with dancing and lantern ceremonies. O-bon events are held at various missions across Lahaina and Maui from June through August.

XTERRA Adventure Fest

45th Annual Maui Marathon

Maui's longest-running marathon begins in Kahului and passes through Lahaina on the way to a finish in Kaanapali--more than halfway around all of West Maui! Sun Yat-Sen Festival

Maui Jim Maui Invitational

Catch the final rounds of the nation's top early-season basketball tournament at the Lahaina Civic Center. Inspiration for the tournament first occurred when a Hawaiian team beat one from Virginia, the nation's best-ranked, in 1982. The Invitational was founded two years later. Since then, the number of competing teams has risen from four to twelve, promising an even better-matched championship game to finish!
