Ka'anapali Beach – Winner of the Traveler's Choice 2014 for beaches, Ka'anapali Beach is a favorite among visitors to Maui, great for relaxation as well as water sports. Just a few miles from Kahana Sunset, a visit to Ka'anapali Beach is a great choice during your stay.
Napili Beach – Just a few miles from Kahana Sunset is the ever-popular Napili Beach, a small beach with beautiful water, great snorkeling and surfing, and excellent dining nearby at the Sea House Restaurant.
Kapalua Coastal Trail – The Kapalua Coast Trail is an amazing walk to view nesting areas and tidal pools. Great for viewing fish and anemones, you'll want to wear good hiking shoes to enjoy this sometimes muddy trail which can be challenging. Kapalua Beach is a great place to snorkel as well.
Lahaina Harbor – Just off of Front Street in Lahaina, you can enjoy sailing, surfing, snorkeling tours, whale watching and much more. This is a great place to find all of the activities you may be looking for near Kahana Sunset.
Kahekili Beach – This beach is great for getting away from crowds and enjoying great sand and an uncrowded beach experience with showers, picnic tables and bathrooms available. A great beach to relax or enjoy some snorkeling.
Launiupoko Beach Park – This park is enclosed by a lava rock wall and features parking, picnic areas, restrooms, and water. Over six acres, this park allows for swimming and is a popular spot for surfing and stand up paddle boarding with the locals. There are lots of coral reefs to explore and swim amongst.
Punalau Beach – Known as Windmills Beach, this secluded beach is ideal for kayaking or surfing in the winter months. This beach is not clearly marked but can be popular with campers and beach walkers. Make sure not to block the 4WD road, look for a turnout for parking your vehicle; donít try to drive all the way down the road even if the gate is open.
Oneloa Beach – Just over a five minute drive from Kahana Sunset is Oneloa Beach in Oneloa Bay. Snorkeling can be quite good when the water is calm and there are reefs to the right and middle sections of the beach, meaning it can make entering the water difficult. But the white sand beach also offers swimming to west of the shore. Be aware of the tides and be mindful of the currents. The beach here is relaxing and perfect for sitting back on the sand and taking it all in.
We hope you'll enjoy plenty of time on beautiful nearby beaches during your stay with us in our Kahana luxury condo rentals.
